Ketamine Preparation

What to Bring

A quick guide to help you plan for the day. Two things are truly required. Everything else is optional and here to make your experience more comfortable.

Required

Photo ID
Needed for check-in.
A ride home
You will not be driving for the rest of the calendar day. Ideally, arrange a ride with someone you know and trust.

None of these are required. Bring what feels right for you. Most people keep it simple.

What to Wear
Comfortable layers
Room temperature plus your body plus the medicine can create fluctuations. Drawstring pants are great. Some people find even yoga tights too restrictive.
A sweater you can easily take on and off
Slip-on shoes
Not required, but often preferred.
Yoga mat, blanket to lay over the mat, and a blanket to cover yourself
The floors are hard. A yoga mat with a blanket over it makes a big difference. Bring a second blanket to cover yourself for warmth and comfort.
For Comfort
Eye mask
More to help you go inward than a comfort item. We may have some available, but you're encouraged to bring your own.
Lip balm
For After
Snacks
Most people don't feel like eating right away, but some appreciate having something on hand. Favorites: plain crackers, apple, granola, cucumber slices, ginger chews.
Water or tea
Personal Objects
A comfort object
Something grounding or soothing: a photo, flower, stone, card, stuffed animal, or a blanket from home.
An intention object
There won't be any show and tell. But the act of considering and searching for something that connects to your intention is a way to "prime the pump" for your experience.
A note about your ride home

Let your person know ahead of time that you may or may not feel like sharing details of your journey and how you're feeling afterward. Let them know you'll let them know what you need. Some people crave alone time, some want company, some a mix.
